Candidates who want to join the Indian Army will now have to first appear for an online common entrance examination (CEE), followed by physical fitness and medical testing. The army has announced a change in the Agniveer Recruitment Process.
According to sources on Saturday, the army published advertisements about the process modification in a number of newspapers, but the notification is likely to be published until about mid-February. According to a source, all preparations for the first online CEE, which is scheduled to take place in April at about 200 places across the nation, have been completed.

The new three-step system for the recruitment process is described in an advertisement that appeared in a top newspaper on Friday with the headline “Transformational Changes in Recruitment in Indian Army.” It states that the first phase will be an online CEE for all candidates at designated centers, followed by a physical fitness test for CEE-qualified applicants at recruitment events, and finally, medical exams.
