How will Agniveer get a Rating?
The Agneepath Scheme was launched in June 2022. Now Agniveer is recruited for short-term in all three armies. His tenure will be for four years. How will Agniveers Get Permanent Jobs in the Army After 4 Years?
- The highest weightage in the rating system has been given to operational aptitude. Every year it will be assessed through a chain of command. Its weightage will be 39%.
- Quantified tests of physical fitness, firing, and drills will be held once in two years. Their weightage will be 36%.
- In the first and fourth years, there will be an independent screening board to judge the Agniveers on various professional aspects. Its weightage will be 25%.

Now there will be an online Entrance before the Recruitment Rally
The entire recruitment process of Agniveers is contained in software named e-RecruiteX. From this year, there will also be an online Combined Entrance Exam before the recruitment rallies of Agniveers. The training of Agniveers started on January 2, 2023 at the regimental centers of the army. In the first phase, 19,000 Agniveers are taking the training. How much Salary will the Agniveers get?
Agniveers will get a salary of Rs 4.76 lakh in the first year of service. In the fourth year, the salary will reach Rs 6.92 lakh. All Agniveers will get a non-contributory insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh. In case of death during the service, an ex-gratia amount of Rs 44 lakh will be given to the next of kin.
What will Agniveer get after four years of Service?
Those Agniveers who will be released after four years will get Rs 11.71 lakh as a service fund package. Agniveer will continue to contribute to the ‘Army Fund’ during his service period. There will be a quota for Agniveers who leave the army after four years in various government organizations, paramilitary forces, and other departments.
