Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the soldiers of the first batch of the Agneepath Scheme on Monday. This program happened virtually. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was also present in the program. PM Modi addressed about 40 thousand Agniveers of the first batch of the three armies.
PM Modi Addressed the First Batch of Agniveers and gave Mantra to 28500 Jawans. The Modi government started the Agneepath Scheme last year. Under this, the soldiers will be commissioned into the army for four years.
45 thousand youth will be Recruited Every Year in Agniveers
Under ‘Agneepath Yojana‘, there will be the recruitment of soldiers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Their rank will be different from the existing and they will be called ‘Agniveer’. Under this scheme, about 40-45 thousand youths will be included in the army every year. In view of protests in many states against the scheme, the government has increased the upper age limit for recruitment in 2022 to 23 years for this year.

The Central Government announced on June 14 that this year 46,000 Agniveers would be recruited under the Agripath Scheme. There will be 40,000 vacancies for the Army and 3000-3000 for the IAF-Navy.
These Benefits will be available under the Agneepath Scheme
In the job of four years, Agniveer will get a salary of Rs 30,000 per month in the first year. The monthly salary will be Rs 33,000 in the second year, Rs 36,500 in the third year, and Rs 40,000 in the fourth year. Every month 30 percent amount will be deducted from this salary and the government will add the same amount to it.
Which you can call a retirement fund. Apart from salary, risk and hardship allowance, ration allowance, dress, and travel allowance will be given. In general language, food, drink, treatment and stay will all be free. During the job, in 4 years, an Agniveer will get a total salary of Rs 11,72,160.
After four years of service, then a lump sum amount of Rs 11,72,160 will be received as retirement funds. In total, 23 lakh 43 thousand 160 rupees will be given as salary and retirement in the job of four. There will be no income tax on this money. Half of this contribution will be from Agniveer, and half will be given by the government.

The Government argues that Agniveer will get the same facilities as a regular soldier. Therefore, if they want, they can also save the amount they get as a salary. With this money, they can set up their business including higher education.
