Important information related to the new army recruitment scheme ‘Agneepath‘ has been shared. The first batch of 19 thousand Agniveers recruited under this scheme will take charge in their respective units in the month of August this year after training.
On the other hand, the training of 21,000 Agniveers recruited in the second batch will start from March 1 this year and the soldiers of this batch will be posted in their units in October. The army has decided that from 2023 onwards, Agniveers Recruitment will be twice a Year in the months of May and November.
The Training Period is 24 to 31 Weeks
The training of Agniveers recruited in the first batch has started in different units of the army from 2 January this year. The army has designed a special training course for their training in the respective training units.
The training period for these jawans will be 24 to 31 weeks. Although it is relatively short compared to the training given to the soldiers in the past, but the course has been prepared in such an intensive way that there is no shortage in the military efficiency of the soldiers.
There will be on-the-job Training in the unit
After this training, the unit in which Agniveer will be posted. There also 7 weeks of on-the-job training will be given according to their work.
Agniveers Recruitment will be twice a Year
Giving information, the army said that the training of 21 thousand Agniveers recruited in the second batch will start from March 1, in which the first batch of 100 women Agniveers will also be included. The first batch of women Agniveers will also be posted in their unit in October.
The army has expressed hope that the average age of soldiers in the Indian Army will come down to 26 years from the current 32 years during the next few years after the commencement of the recruitment process of Agniveers.
The recruitment of Agniveers in the Army is only for four years and out of the Agniveers recruited every year, only 15 percent of those who meet the required standards after four years will get permanent appointments as jawans in the army.
